Downward Tourism Trend: Broward County's Tourism efforts are suffering just as Las Vegas is seeing positive changes and results in key demographics, including
millennials. 

As you can see for yourself when checking the numbers recorded by the very people whose government job it is to promote tourism in Broward County, and pay close attention to what those hotel visitor numbers actually are -and are revealing- Sunny.org, the Greater Fort 
Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, the trend in Broward County is neither positive or encouraging. https://www.sunny.org/vital-stats/

There has been a DECREASE in average hotel occupancy for 9 of the last 12 months for which there are records; one month was ZERO, so I counted that as a negative.

Meanwhile in Las Vegas... The Associated Press has news of a very different kind: 
 Report: Las Vegas Draws More Millennial, First-time Visitors

A third of Las Vegas tourists last year were millennials — those between 18 to 35 — up from less than a quarter in 2015, according to a report commissioned by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and released Wednesday...

As of Saturday, there will be 3 H&M's in Las Vegas and 3 in the entire state of Florida: Orlando, Palm Beach Gardens and Sanford.
If only the
Village at Gulfstream Park retail complex here in Hallandale Beach had one! That'd bring in the customers!

World’s largest H&M store will open Saturday in Las Vegas

The largest H&M store in the world is scheduled to open Saturday on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Swedish clothing retailer will open its doors in the recently closed FAO Schwarz location at the Forum Shops at Caesars.

The three-level, 55,000-square-foot store will house women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories.
