Today's Rich Man, Poor Man FA Cup Final tilt between Man City and Wigan could be historic -or anticlimactic snooze. I hope it's the former and not the latter, #facup, #MCFC, #wigan

FA Cup Final on Saturday is a Rich Man, Poor Man tilt between  Man City and Wigan -airing on Fox at Noon Eastern- and could prove interesting trivia answer if Wigan wins but then is relegated to the Championship League.
(With Roberto Martinez going to Everton to replace David Moyes?)

I sincerely hope it's a hoot instead of a snooze, since to be honest, 95% of the matches I've seen on TV the past 4-5 months have been pretty much on the blah side, leading to lots of involuntary naps on Saturdays.

My biggest fear when I woke up Monday morning was that the scheduled torrential downpours in South Florida would come during the broadcast of the Manchester Derby on ESPN at 3 p.m., and absolutely ruin things, since I have DirecTV and I lose reception during those sort of heavy end-of-the-world thunderstorms we get down here.
Or that Manchester would have similar weather during the match in this, the wettest April in recorded history.

Fortunately for me, everything happened before and after in my corner of South Florida and City won a fabulous game.
Well, at least one team I root for actually wins!

I'd have posted all this all sooner, as well as posts about the FA's Roy Hodgson vs. "people's choice" Harry Redknapp public debate over the manager of the English National Team, but the perpetual downpours we've had down here of late have played havoc with my access to the AT&T server, rendering me frustrated.
More on this very soon, though, as it's the burr under everyone's saddle there.

This was a beautifully played game, the best Man City has looked in ages! And the triangle passes were like a training video, with Liverpool channeling the Washington Generals, the perpetual opponents of the Harlem Globestrotters.
